Valentine's Day Crafts--Clay Pot Candy Jar
Sophie adores her preschool teacher so I wanted to give her something special for Valentine's Day. We were searching Michaels for ideas when Sophie picked up the clay pot and a round styrofoam ball I had in my cart and said "Look mom, a gumball machine!" Brilliant! Just goes to show you that you never know where inspiration may come from:)
Anyway, that got my wheels turning and after finding a candle holder that fit the pot, the Clay Pot Candy Jar was born. It was cheap and easy to make and Sophie is very excited to give it to her teacher. What more could I ask for?
Here's what I used:
Supplies
Clay pot and base
Round candleholder
Gorilla glue
Valspar Satin Spray Paint in Thistle Field
Ribbon
Directions
Spray paint the clay pot and base and let dry completely.
Attach the candle holder to the clay pot using Gorilla glue.
Fill with candy, add ribbon and add the lid.
Easy, right? Enjoy!
